I am writing as a representative of the Fishing Vessel Association, located in Seattle, Washington. The Association was formed in 1914 to represent the needs of halibut boat owners involved in longline fishing in the North Pacific. The Association's members today are longline fishermen. The principal species harvested are halibut, sablefish, pacific cod, rockfish and turbot. As the association is turning 100 in 2014, we are in the process of planning a gala event to celebrate the occasion. We have a nonprofit entity "Eat on the Wild Side" which has a 501(c)(6) nonprofit status. One of the purposes of "Eat on the Wild Side" is to educate regarding the healthy benefits of eating fish. As part of our celebration we would like to produce a cookbook of fish recipes contributed by our members, including photos, anecdotes and historical facts. I have been trying to locate historical photos of our membership's vessels and came across "historicfishing's" photos on SmugMug. I would love to acquire permission to use some of these photos for our cookbook's historical section. Can you please assist me in contacting "historicfishing" to see if this is possible and what I need to do. Thank you for your assistance.
